Happy Birthday Abe!

We made it through another work week- it's FRIDAY- and to top if off, it's a three day weekend thanks to Abe and George- Happy Birthday!

We have had an exciting week filled with super bowl parties, WVU basketball games, snow days with daddy, a book reading with our dear friends, and Malia's first Valentine's party at daycare. And when I say daycare, I really mean spending all day with Grandma and 11 other friends. We are so fortunate and blessed that Malia gets to spend time with Grandma while mommy is at work!

Malia is becoming quite the little social butterfly at 3 1/2 months. She is constantly melting everyone with her bright blue eyes and chubby cheeks. She is cracking smiles all the time and we can't help but squeal with excitement!

Because it's a three day weekend, my goal is to finish the nursery. I know, I know, how horrible does that sound! Luckily, there isn't much left to cross off our to-do list. Once everything is complete, I PROMISE to post pictures!!

Don't forget to watch the 2010 Winter Olympics opening ceremony tonight! I've always loved watching the Olympic games, and I'm excited Malia is here to share in the excitment!! By the way, have you seen the opening ceremony outfits? Eeek, I love them...and I wonder why!?

Enjoy your weekend!

accountable monday

For some reason, I was really looking forward to sitting down with a hot cup of Russian tea, and writing a post for today that sums up our fun-filled snowy weekend. It wasn't until Keoni took Malia to bed so I could get ready for tomorrow, that I realized I would much rather snuggle with my little one than write, but here I am writing a post for our new blog.
I will attempt to write as often as I can, but have promised myself to not let this blog take away from spending precious time with Malia. Will you hold me accountable?

13 weeks old ~ 13 things we adore

I thought it would be fitting to start our first official post with Malia. Reagan Malia Medici was born on Friday, November 6th at 5:21pm, weighing in at 7 lbs 1 oz and 19 inches long. I won't bore everyone with the story of Malia's birth on this post, but rather give a list of 13 things we absolutely adore about our little girl and being parents-in no particular order-

1- her love for mommy and daddy

2- our cookie monster diaper song

3- her chubby cheeks

4- her bright blue eyes

5- her adorable little smile

6- her love for snuggle time

7- the fact that she can sleep anywhere, well almost anywhere

8- her pink soothie passies- life savors

9- bath time

10-smell of dreft detergent

11- her ability to make us stop for cookies and milkshakes

12- her many polo outfits

and finally...

13- the fact that she is finally here, and neither one of us can remember life without her!

...and we're off...

I have wanted to start a blog for a while now. For some reason, I just never got around to creating one. My hopes for this blog is to give family and friends a taste of our life as a new family of three. Enjoy!
